Back in August, I launched a series where I post monthly goals here on the blog. Sharing my goals with you helps me to stay accountable and increases my likelihood to follow through. I’ve also totally fallen in love with creating my visual goal sheets.
This month, though, I’m not setting goals. Why? Because setting goals in January feels a lot like making New Year’s resolutions, and I don’t believe in those. Studies have shown that 80% of resolutions fail by February!
Instead, I’m focusing on my theme for the year. I started the tradition a couple years ago, and after experiencing the impact that choosing a theme had on my life, I never looked back. You can read more about why you might consider choosing a theme instead of making resolutions in this post.
In 2018 my theme was “Dive Deeper” and it manifested itself in a multitude of ways. I dove deeper into my purpose, my vision, and the parts of myself that need more love.
In fact, choosing a theme has had such an impact on my life that this year I decided to run a free 3-day challenge so that you can join me in choosing a theme of your own! Nearly 200 people have signed up!
In the challenge I walk you through each step from releasing the energy of last year, to why choosing a theme is so impactful. There are free guided worksheets and a Choose Your Theme Workbook included as well. If you want to join me creating a year full of impact and potential, sign up for the challenge here, it’s never too late to set the tone for the next 365 days.
So there you have it. Now you know why I’m breaking my five-month streak and not sharing any goals with you this month. If you’re curious about what my theme for the year is, look out for my next blog post.
Do you make New Year’s resolutions, or will you join me in choosing a theme for the year? Leave a comment and let me know!
