SCROLL TO BEGIN

Life, Elevated.

Life, Elevated.

Wondering why I started this blog? As a multi-passionate creative, I used to be plagued by the idea that success meant choosing one thing and sticking with it. The problem was choosing just “one thing” left me unable to show up in the world as my most authentic, full self. One day I woke up and decided to finally embrace and share all of my gifts. My next thought: I should start a blog as a space for my passions to play. I never looked back after that moment.

psst. over here.

During a recent trip to the park while babysitting, I overheard a child say, “Look! I’m elevated!” When he got to the top of a climbing apparatus. His choice of words struck me: Elevated.

What would it mean to seek moments of “elevation” throughout our lives?

Imagine climbing through life’s obstacles and having the wisdom to acknowledge when we reach a new understanding. I believe that elevation occurs when we can sense that our inner qualities of understanding, focus, resilience, and patience have been sharpened. Living life “elevated” could also mean accepting both the good and the bad as steps upwards on our path to personal growth. What a beautiful thought.

So, the next time you are struggling to get through a situation, be it big or small, know that you will come out knowing more about yourself than you knew before. You will make it through, and when you do, don’t forget to say to yourself, “look, I’m elevated!”

Aw, love that! So funny what kids will say. I agree – accepting everything on your journey (whatever it may be) is the key to happiness!

That is a wonderful thought! The hardest thing is to feel elevated when things seem to get tough. I love your definition of feeling elevated. It reminded me of my own goal of cultivating mastery in my life. Thanks!

Such a lovely post and thought! Thank you for sharing.
I also know exactly what you mean about finding the appropriate ‘niche’ for those ideas of ours that are really worth sharing. I love that you were inspired to start up a “Thoughtful Thursday” section and look forward to reading more. I actually started a “Thoughts” section on my own blog for the exact same reason and have found it to be a wonderful outlet.
This bit of insight you’ve offered certainly does help to keep things in perspective. “Elevated” will be the word of the week for me! Looking forward to reading more.

Hi Jacqueline! Thanks so much for reading and for the feedback. I’ll have to check out your “Thoughts” section as well. It’s important to save a space on our blogs to keep as an outlet for what’s on our minds. Have a lovely and “elevated” week. 😉 xo
