Hello, lovely creatives! This installment of the Energy Report is a little shorter than typical but I wanted to still give you a potent message about Libra season, and in particular, the Libra New Moon.

New Moon in Libra

On October 16th, we will have a New Moon at 23 degrees of Libra at 12:30 PM PST.

You might feel this New Moon strongly if you are a Libra, Aries, Cancer, or Capricorn.

Libra has an interesting relationship with commitment.

In some sense, Libra finds comfort in commitment when that commitment is from another person to Libra, as Libra finds it difficult to act alone.

However, Libra also can find it difficult to commit to a decision, especially when it seems to only align with a singular path.

With this New Moon, I want you to think about your own relationship with commitment. Commitment can be to anything, not just people. 

Ask yourself questions like:

1. Do I make commitments?
   
2. If so, do I usually uphold them? Why or why not?
3. If you don’t make commitments, why is that?
4. What types of commitments do you usually make? Why those particular ones as opposed to others?
5. Do you like how you engage with commitments? Why or why not?
6. What would you like to shift in terms of making commitments?

In addition to these questions, I’d like you to review the commitment notes below before you go about setting a new intention with the New Moon. 

The note for your Sun and Rising Signs might insight a little bit of discomfort as this is the area of your chart that Libra rules, and therefore your experience with commitment in this area of life likely feels complicated.

However, growth often comes through discomfort, so push yourself to nail down an intention that allows you to experiment with this note for your sign(s).

One more thing to add to this.

When nailing down that intention, you might feel like what this exercise is saying is to “just pick something and go for it”. While this might work for some, it likely won’t work for all. Especially if you’re a multi-passionate creative.

So what I want you to do, when you are sitting with the New Moon on October 16th, is to read your note(s) below. Feel within yourself how you can make this particular commitment while accommodating both your earthly and purposeful goals.
