LEO SEASON 2020 | ASTROLOGY FOR CREATIVES
Enjoy this monthly installment from Alexandria Rollet, our Resident Astrologer inside the Joi Knows How Collective!
If you are someone who finds it difficult to express yourself, take Leo Season as a personal challenge to come out of your shell a bit. During Cancer season, we were deep in our feelings, now is our chance to DO something about those feelings.
On August 3rd, we will have a Full Moon in Aquarius at 8:58 AM PST at 11 degrees of Aquarius.
(Only pay attention to the degree if you feel called to. It’s just a way to get more precise with your understanding of astrology and your personal chart. If you have the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, your Ascendant, or your Midheaven anywhere from 9 to 13 degrees of Leo or Aquarius, you might feel this Full Moon more strongly than others. Also, if you have any of these planets between 9 and 13 degrees of Taurus, or Scorpio, you could feel the Full Moon energy intensely, as well.)
This Full Moon will ask you to look at your relationship with yourself and your community. Leo is highly focused on its own identity and with the Leo Sun shining its light on the Aquarius Moon, questions may arise, such as:
Who am I in this group?
Am I able to truly be myself with these people?
Is my voice being heard? And is it valued?
Am I being overly ego-driven and not allowing others to have a voice?
If you are not being true to yourself, while also allowing your friends and communities to be themselves, you’ll be shown what needs to be released in order to be more true and supportive.
On July 27th, Jupiter Retrograde in Capricorn will have a lovely connection with Neptune Retrograde in Pisces.
By seeing the word “Retrograde”, it might not appear like this would be a good day for any sort of creativity but you’d be surprised. When Jupiter is Retrograde, it forces us to look within to get reacquainted with and reevaluate our vision and philosophy.
When Neptune is Retrograde, it’s actually a time when we can have a better sense of external reality.
So on July 27th, spend some time visioning and evaluate what path you’re actually on, and start laying the groundwork for getting onto the path that you want to be on.
August 10th might be my favorite day for creative endeavors during this entire year!
The beginning of the day will have a different flavor compared to the end of the day, but both are poised for creativity.
In the early morning, the Moon will be in Taurus, making a very harmonious connection to Venus in Cancer. This is an auspicious meet up due to how happy these planets are in these signs!
Use the morning for tending to your garden, your home, or the people you care for. You could also get creative with client gifting with this energy.
Then, in the latter part of the day, the Moon will be closely aligned with Uranus in Taurus. Get ready for new ideas to flood in!
One note about this energy on the evening of August 10th is that if you are feeling askew in your self-worth, you might feel a bit of anxiety. This is due to the unexpected nature of Uranus.
Perhaps you might want to spend the day before, or even the morning of the 10th, honoring yourself and showing yourself some love.
Below, I’ve included a little note for each sign to let them know how best to use the power of the Sun during Leo season. I suggest finding both your Sun sign and your Rising sign. You might even want to find your Moon sign for good measure. Don’t forget to add them to your Pinterest boards!
