Why Knowing Your Birth Chart is Essential to Building a Successful Creative Business

I was recently in the market for a business coach and going through the process of researching each coach was kind of mind-numbing. Everyone felt the same.

Instagram accounts, websites, Facebook profiles- they all looked identical. Similar stock photos, light and airy color schemes, minimal variations on the same script typeface. They even talk about the same things! Yes, it’s all pretty and welcoming, but it’s overused.

So it got me thinking, why is (almost) everyone doing the same thing?

Because it has been getting results.

The truth is, the internet is loud and it’s busy. And it’s way too easy for us creative business owners to get lost in it and not be seen by our ideal clients, regardless of the face we are putting out there.

But, no matter which creative industry you’re in, if you aren’t making a conscious effort to set yourself apart, you aren’t going to be seen. And if you aren’t making a conscious effort to align with your unique astrological design aka your roadmap that you came into this world with, people can feel your disconnection and they won’t “get” you.

Using your birth chart in your biz

Instead of looking around at how others in your industry are branding themselves, look into your own birth chart! Each sign carries its own energy and can guide you towards creating a business that feels right for you and resonates with your ideal audience.

You’ll need the time, date, and location of your birth to get accurate results and there are tons of free apps/websites that will generate your birth chart (also called natal chart). For an app experience, I suggest co-star. However, I personally use astro.com to generate all of my client charts.

Once you have your results, you can begin to look for clues.

For example, if your rising sign is a Fire sign (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius), you’ll want to incorporate bold colors, energetic fonts, and exciting imagery into your branding. If your Sun sign is a water sign (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces), the essence of your business will have a healing quality to it and make your clients feel safe, welcome, and heard.

Why Knowing Your Birth Chart is Essential to Building a Successful Creative Business

So, basically

It’s time to bust this myth that we need to brand ourselves in a certain way, work with people in a certain way, or design our website layout in a certain way just because that’s how everyone else in your industry is doing it.

And hand up, I’ve been there too! I know how easy it is to fall into this trap.

As an astrologer, I had this narrative playing in my head that I need to offer birth chart readings, they need to be a certain price, and I need to have all kinds of galactic-y images because that’s what is in the industry right now.

Well, truthfully, I broke the galactic-y images mindset pretty quickly by looking at what my rising sign is (Capricorn, an earth sign) and infusing more earthy vibes into my branding. Even with this new direction, I found it very hard to break my tendency to fall into what everyone else is doing.

I saw all of the business coaches out there and I decided that even though I’m incredibly passionate about helping entrepreneurs fall in love with their businesses through astrology and human design, I wasn’t going to step into that role because I don’t like the majority of what’s out there already and I don’t want to be “like all the others”.

Why Knowing Your Birth Chart is Essential to Building a Successful Creative Business

Then I realized that’s EXACTLY why I should follow my desire to be a business coach because I DON’T want to be like all of the others out there. So, I dove in and allowed my birth chart to guide me in creating a coaching business that feels like me. The result was this massive mindset shift:

I’m not a typical astrologer and I’m not a typical business coach. I use the birth chart to guide people towards success in their business. The combination of the two alone is enough to stand out.

Not only did my birth chart help me to brand my business but it also inspired me to help other creative business owners do the same, and thus my coaching business was born. This is powerful stuff!!

So, it’s time to text your mom and ask for your birth time so that you can begin aligning your creative business with your astrological bad-assery.

Ps. If you’d love to have guidance with finding your individuality in business, you can contact me here and we can take a dive into your birth chart together! I’ll point out where you have the most creative flow and where you really desire to shine, plus so much more.
