I’m writing this letter to remind you (and myself) of a few things:
- Everyone has their shortcomings.
- Every hero has a child that lives inside of them, seeking the approval of their parents.
- Every person who decides to judge you is most likely avoiding the perfectionist inside of themselves.
Perhaps you have forgotten that your best is more than enough. Even your base level efforts will impress many because it’s not the shining image of perfection that people value. They want to see you; authentic and flawed. Imperfect.
So let’s practice trust. Let’s practice flow. Let’s practice being gentle. You are capable of beautiful things. Let’s triumph, without the need to be perfect all the time; because your best is truly good enough.
